About this platform
This is an independent, non-partisan civic platform that helps voters in British Columbia learn about the people running for municipal office. We began with a pilot focused on the 2026 Nanaimo election, and our goal is to expand city by city across BC so that every resident has a single, trustworthy place to research the candidates asking for their vote.
For each candidate we publish a public profile — biography, occupation, key positions, endorsements, prior public service, and a quantified experience meter — alongside a campaign timeline of events and media coverage. Visitors can compare candidates side by side on the issues that matter most to their community, ask questions directly, and read sourced summaries of where each candidate stands. Every factual claim links to its source. All profile information is collected from public sources across the web — official records, news coverage, and campaign materials — and linked into one place for voters; nothing is presented as independently verified.
The platform is built for voters first: people who want clear, sourced information without spin, spin that comes from official records, news coverage, and the candidates themselves. It is also a home for community participation — anyone can submit a new candidate, report a correction, or flag missing information, and our volunteer review team verifies each submission before it goes live. Candidates and their campaigns can claim profiles to keep details accurate and current.
We are built and maintained by a small, independent group of civic technologists and volunteers with no affiliation to any political party, candidate, or level of government. We do not endorse candidates and we do not sell advertising. Our only interest is a better-informed electorate. If you'd like to contribute sources, report an error, or help expand to your city, we'd love to hear from you.
